About the event

Join us in the Gathering Place room for a one session Spirit Group, looking at the Gospel of Mark – the primary Gospel used in the lectionary for the coming year.

We will examine

·       Who wrote this Gospel?

·       When was it written and what was the context?

·       What makes Mark unique? What should we notice?

·       Why should we read this Gospel since almost all of the material appears in other Gospels?

·       How should we approach reading Mark?

This Spirit Group will be led by Rev. Keith. There will be opportunity for your questions and observations. You are welcome to bring a Bible along, or there will be additional Bibles supplied.

In preparation, you may wish to read the Gospel of Mark. Note – it is only 16 chapters, and can be read in under an hour.
