The Sunday after Epiphany, the scriptures always move to the beginning of Jesus public ministry, beginning with his baptism (Mark 1:4-11). Mark’s purpose in writing is summed up in the statement “this is the Good News of Jesus Christ, the Son of God”. In our worship, we will use this this as a jumping off point to look at who Jesus is for us and how the words Lord, Christ and Jesus play into this. Who is Jesus for you? Taking this one step further, if God was in Jesus, can God also be us?
