Marshall's minister, Rev. Keith Hagerman, creatively teaches the learnings in the Bible by combining elements of congregant participation, meditation and modern relatability when delivering his sermons. 

We have elements of contemporary and traditional worship combined in one format and offer music for all ages.

Serving the Ancaster Community

Marshall Memorial United Church is a community of faith rooted in the love of God. We believe worship is not just found in prayer, it’s something expressed in everything we do. Our philosophy is one of progressive theology and a mix of musical expression to help convey the spiritual themes of the week . Come and join us to experience God’s grace for yourself. Our Leadership

Director Of Music

Alison Slaats joined our staff in 2022. She brings a wealth of musical experience and energy to the church and all of its musical activities. Alison is an accomplished Organist, Choral Director, Hand Bell Choir leader and teaches our Marshall children Musical Theatre. Alison is also passionate about composing her own music and Marshall has performed a number of her pieces. 

Band Leader

Annette Haas is a multi-talented musician. She plays piano, guitar, bass and is an amazing vocalist. Annette taught music for over 30 years and works as a solo artist  and with a number of bands besides leading our Marshall Praise Band weekly. Annette encourages our musicians to be the best that they can be and is a welcome addition to Marshall.

Minister

Rev. Keith Hagerman is a progressive theologian and offers a refreshing outlook on spirituality and religion. Music is very important to Rev. Keith and he will often be part of the musical offerings throughout the service with voice and/or  instrumentation provided.
